1.  This is a 16-Part series, not necessarily in sequence, that shows Dr. Carnes in various interviews talking about sex addition.                                                                                          Click Here to View

2.  His last lecture before retirement.  It is in three parts.  This may not be understood by the new comer, nor be the most apripoe video to watch.  For clinitians and those well into the 12th Step however, this is thought provoking, challenging and perhaps even a bit overwhelming as we hear about where we have come in addiction recovery but how far we have to go.  In the third video in this series, he talks about the "real reason" behind terrorism which is especially interesting.                                   Click Here to View

Every sex addict lies.  They go together.  Addicts are great con men (and women).  Some lie to avoid consequences and/or to gain approval or recognition.  Others become habitual, even pathological liars and find themselves lying about things they don't have to lie about.  For them, it actually becomes another addiction they must deal with. This article from WikiHow is well written and offers three ways to stop lying.  Although they may be simple solutions to a very complex problem, it does present a place to start and some good fundamental education about lying and how one might begin to address the problem.                                                                                                                                                                           Click here.

In this article from Psychology Today, the author says people lie in 1 of every 5 interactions with other people and offers both reasons and solutions.
